Bhagat Singh's heroic story.

Bhagat Singh's heroic story.

Bhagat Singh was a prominent Indian socialist revolutionary who was born on September 28, 1907, in the village of Banga in present-day Pakistan. He grew up in a politically active family, with his father being a staunch supporter of the Indian National Congress and an advocate for Indian independence from British colonial rule.

At a young age, Bhagat Singh was exposed to the brutalities of the British rule and became increasingly involved in the Indian freedom struggle. He was inspired by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and joined the Non-Cooperation Movement, which called for a boycott of British goods and institutions.

However, Bhagat Singh soon became disillusioned with Gandhi's non-violent methods and instead turned to militant activism. He became a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), a group of revolutionaries who believed in armed struggle against the British.

Bhagat Singh was involved in several acts of revolutionary violence, including the bombing of the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi in 1929. He was arrested and put on trial, along with several of his comrades. During the trial, he famously declared, "Revolution is the inalienable right of mankind. Freedom is the birthright of all."

Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, Bhagat Singh refused to plead for mercy and was sentenced to death. He was hanged on March 23, 1931, along with his fellow revolutionaries Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Bhagat Singh's sacrifice and commitment to the Indian freedom struggle made him a martyr and a hero to millions of Indians. He is remembered for his fierce dedication to the cause of Indian independence and his willingness to lay down his life for the freedom of his country.
