Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricket players of all time. Born on April 24, 1973, in Mumbai, India, Tendulkar was introduced to cricket at a young age by his father, who was a well-known cricket enthusiast.

Tendulkar began playing cricket at the age of 11 and soon became a rising star in Mumbai's cricket scene. His talent was noticed by several local coaches and he was eventually selected to represent Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic cricket competition, at the age of just 14.

In 1989, Tendulkar made his international debut for India in a Test match against Pakistan in Karachi. At the age of 16 years and 205 days, he became the youngest player to debut for India in Test cricket. Although he did not make a big impact in his first few matches, it was clear that Tendulkar was a talented batsman with a bright future.

Tendulkar's breakthrough moment came in 1990, when he scored his first Test century against England at Old Trafford. This was the first of many centuries to come, and Tendulkar went on to become the highest run-scorer in Test cricket, with 15,921 runs in 200 matches.

In addition to his Test career, Tendulkar was also a prolific one-day international (ODI) player. He scored 18,426 runs in 463 matches, which is still the highest run total in ODI cricket history.

Throughout his career, Tendulkar was known for his impeccable technique, fierce determination, and unrelenting passion for the game. He was a role model for millions of cricket fans around the world, and his achievements on the field helped to popularize the sport in India and beyond.

Tendulkar retired from international cricket in 2013, after playing in 200 Tests and 463 ODIs. He remains an icon of Indian cricket and a legend of the sport.
